Christmas Angels Program
Get your wings and become a Christmas Angel for our most vulnerable residents in need.
We need your help for the over 200 residents living in CapitalCare centres without family to make them feel special this Christmas. Become a Christmas Angel and buy a gift for one of our forgotten residents.
What does a Christmas Angel do?
A Christmas Angel will adopt a resident to let them know someone is thinking of them with a gift this Christmas. Sign up as an individual, a family, a group of friends or put a team of angels together. As an angel, you’ll receive a wish list for your adopted senior so you can be sure that you are giving them something they truly need. Personal touches like a card with Christmas wishes signed by you and your team is a great touch.
Deadline to register is November 15, 2023.
The average cost to adopt a resident is usually between $50 and $75. Please select the number of residents you would like to adopt based on these numbers. We do have some seniors who have higher needs. If you or your group would like a higher needs senior, please indicate that in the comment section. These folks usually need more in the way of clothes, winter jackets or shoes or have specialty clothing needs such as open back clothing which can be a bit more costly.
If you’d like to adopt more than one senior, please let us know. This is a thoughtful team building opportunity that staff can participate in by putting together a gift or contributing in a meaningful way.

- Dec 12: Gift Drop Off (Locations TBC)
- Dec. 15 – 25: CapitalCare staff deliver gifts to residents
Other Opportunities to Support the Christmas Angels Program
Partners and individuals can also support our Christmas Angels program with a cash contribution to help cover the cost of things like purchasing last minute gifts. This helps to offset the cost of purchasing items for gift requests for seniors who enter our program past the cut off time to be adopted.
